Students: Participate in a data challenge!
You are invited to participate in the 2025 Bucknell Data Challenge, where teams of students will work on a surprise dataset and draw insights from the data! There will be food, prizes, and fun. All students are welcome to participate in the data challenge. This is a great way to develop your data science skills.
Kick-off event: noon – 12:50 pm on Friday, February 7th in Taylor 210.
Everyone is introduced to the data. Pizza will be provided.
Between kick-off and closing events: lots of optional drop-in help sessions.
This is a friendly competition so feel free to use these sessions to ask questions and brainstorm ideas.
Closing session: Thursday, February 13th from 4:30 – 6:00 pm in Taylor 210.
Each team gives a three minute presentation about their data work and awards are given out. Dessert will be provided.
Prizes will be given for Best Insight, Best Visualization, and Best-in-Show. See a preview of some of the prizes below:
